Pros

Honestly, the only perk for me was the Summer Hours/Fridays.

Cons

- Remote-friendly, but if you're not attending in person, you get passed on for opportunities. - Management makes plans without involving teams. - Plans are sand castles, big grandiose rewrites without a clear target of what we're trying to make better. - Politics/preferential treatment. - Generally chaos - taking 3 months to figure out a reorg. Word on the grapevine is that reorg is to focus on fewer projects, but then after reorg, spread everyone thin on the ground again. - Chaotic support. - Generally management is poor on leadership skills.

Pros

Great work-life balance. Decent benefit.

Cons

They don't pay you much. They don't treat engineers as profession. They think engineers are all the same and can swap any of them them with joiner engineers or contractors. They thought they can hire a contractor for 4 months for a project. They took a full month to get a laptop for a contractor, took one more month to get them through onboarding, then took one more month to get them use to the codebase, then the contractor wrote one line, then the 4 months was up. We had to repeat the process with a new contractor.
