Pros

Everyone is super friendly and very helpful. Management is about as understanding as they come which only further helps to strengthen how unified the employees here are. As far as pros from an engineering standpoint, I've worked for companies that quickly run out of work and have gap times between projects and others that overly-cautiously test the waters of your ability before giving you any work of real substance. Good luck with that here - you'll get plenty of work as fast as you can take it and I say that with enthusiasm. I work on FPGAs writing VHDL and Verilog with some upcoming projects being more C heavy, but everyone here wears multiple hats so it's rare that I have my face in code for more than a full day. I love hiking and the outdoors so being close to the mountains and the Appalachian Trail is really nice for me and my dogs.People around here are really nice. We're only a little over an hour north of Asheville which is really nice for weekend trips and only 4 hours away from Nashville for any of you country music folk. Housing is super inexpensive around here and no state income tax is icing on the cake. I'm going to be honest I was skeptical, but Pal's really is as good as they say.

Cons

I honestly have no complaints besides a few small complaints about the building..... that said we move into a new building in 2 months so go figure. I suppose if you're someone that always needs to be told what to do next you'll have a tough time, a lot of our engineering work requires being creative with technical skills.

Pros

Good Health Benefits, and 401K

Cons

Although Moog promotes an unlimited PTO policy and emphasizes work-life balance, the actual execution is highly inconsistent and depends heavily on management. Some managers are supportive, while others induce guilt, leading to a culture where employees either underutilize their time or feel uncertain about expectations. Furthermore, compensation lags behind the market average, and internal career growth feels stagnant rather than actively supported.
