Pros

You sometimes work with engineers who are typically smarter than your average computer user.

Cons

Everything else. If you work in the IT department, you don't actually work for Moog (you do have a Moog email and a few other things), but rather this terrible managed services company they spun the IT department off to that imposes bizarre rules about closing tickets and actually prevents you from helping the users. You will bear the brunt of a lot of user frustration for how slow even basic things are and are threatened with firing if you talk too much to your users about what is going on behind the scenes. Strangely one of the bean counters still thinks this was a good idea, apparently blind to the hidden costs from lost productivity. I've never seen an IT department with lower morale. After leaving, both my mental and physical health improved, I've never been so glad to leave a place.

Pros

The company has a bit of a startup-like vibe, and still feels established. They’re pretty open to letting younger engineers take on real responsibility , which makes it a good place to grow. From what I’ve seen in all-hands meetings, the senior leadership also seems to genuinely care about employees—you can kind of tell they’re paying attention and trying to take care of the team.

Cons

There’s nothing perfect, enjoy the time when you get in.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! We’re thrilled to hear that our blend of an energetic, startup-style environment with the stability of an established company is resonating with you. We believe that giving younger engineers real responsibility early on is one of the best ways to learn and grow, so it’s wonderful to know you’re finding meaningful challenges here. It’s also incredibly encouraging to see that our senior leadership’s commitment to listening and supporting the team comes through in our all-hands meetings—that sense of genuine care is something we strive for every day. Your feedback motivates us to keep fostering a culture where everyone can develop their skills, make an impact, and feel truly valued. Pros

Good Health Benefits, and 401K

Cons

Although Moog promotes an unlimited PTO policy and emphasizes work-life balance, the actual execution is highly inconsistent and depends heavily on management. Some managers are supportive, while others induce guilt, leading to a culture where employees either underutilize their time or feel uncertain about expectations. Furthermore, compensation lags behind the market average, and internal career growth feels stagnant rather than actively supported.
