Transactional Leadership + Ant and the Grasshopper Mentality - Team Lead Motion Recruitment Employee Review

Pros

If you are motivated by the idea of transactional leadership, this will be a good place for you. They heavily emphasize training you and building your soft skills, information management skills, and general technical knowledge (team depending). This is all to get to the point where you can begin to do this more or less autonomously. If you show up ready to do your best, it will be noticed; the opportunity is what you make of it. The top talent in the office is always willing to help you if you want it for yourself. Generally good culture, they want to celebrate the wins.

Cons

This is a sales role. There is a lot of phone work, and you will need to work hard. If you don't speak up or express your frustration, it will be more challenging to succeed.

Cons

Only con was it took a while to finally start the job, but that wasn't Motion's fault.

Pros

- Free Bagels - Good training

Cons

Pay is far below what the role demands. Management is unprofessional and sets unrealistic expectations with little recognition or reward. No commission is paid until 10 full-time placements are made. Health insurance benefits are poor. A culture of bullying is tolerated and goes unaddressed. Employees are encouraged to mislead candidates and use their personal information to generate more sales, which raises serious ethical concerns.
