      Pros

      There are a lot of hardworking, loyal, caring employees working in this institution who are committed to quality patient care.

      Cons

      These employees are surrounded by lazy, rude, selfish employees that squeak by with the bare minimum. This happens everywhere. The problem is no one manages them at Mount Sinai. The hardworking employees get no recognition and the lazy employees do not receive any disciplinary action. Eventually the hardworking employees leave or give up.

      It is a large hospital somewhat disorganized.

      Pros

      salary pay instead of hourly so you still get the same paycheck on a month you took vacation. good for new grads to get experience with chronically sick patients.

      Cons

      PA leadership is unsupportive and the hospital admins care more about patients who have donated money to the hospital. pay is low compared to NYC PAs as a whole. and patients’ behavior is a problem.
