Pros
Outside of HR, clinical colleagues are awesome
Cons
HR offices on E98 are completely atrocious. They’re matchbox size and filthy. Labor Relations management is racist, unethical and manage with bias and favoritism. Inappropriate relations with employees is the norm with this team, and they do not seek to have a harmonious work relationship with the union. They look down on minorities, are not FOR the people, and gossip and taint the reputation of the hard working NYSNA, 32BJ and 1199 employees that work hard for little pay. The Labor officers are unfair and 99% of the time side with management. The HR team will overwork and underpay you, while discouraging career progression. They are unsupportive of real talent and stifle and suppress any employee who shows growth potential. If Maksoud only knew what went on in the Labor Relations office; what’s said, what’s done and how employees are being treated, her jaw would hang for days. Having worked on this team for years, and having first hand seen and heard all of the nasty politics, I'd advise you to STAY AWAY FROM THIS TEAM, or learn the hard way! Labor Relations management may seem cool during the interview, but that office is full of skeletons and the women of that office all engage in unheard things I cannot mention here. Oh and like pay, health benefits are poor.
