Pros
1. Large organization that allows mobility for skilled employees. 2. Hospitals are located in nice areas in Manhattan (not that you'll enjoy it much since you'll be working all the time). 3. Direct care staff is dedicated to quality service to the patients. 4. Good benefits and time off. 5. Competitive salaries. 6. There are one or two wonderful people that work there.
Cons
1. Large and impersonal organization requires you to spend lots of time making sure you cover your rear as you do your job. 2. Dedication to patients is not seen in the administrative offices of the organization. 3. You have to know the right people to get ahead and the same right people will stab you in the back if they deem it necessary. 4. Executive leadership is out of touch with realities of the day to day operations. They just come up with crazy ideas that get dropped when the next crazy idea comes along. Few major projects come to fruition. 5. You are expected to sacrifice your personal life for the job.
