Pros
Helping the clients live better lives.
Cons
Most possitive reviews come from those whom still work for MVDS. Read reviews of those that quit. MVDS clings to a outdated hierarchical structure much like the military. Those at top make decisions with minor attempts at understanding what the "foot soldiers" think. Survey monkey is their way of trying to connect with staff but is highly suspect in it opaqueness. MVDS has much staff turnover and is chronically lacking managers. This is due to administrative belief that it can simply hire more. If those in charge would recognize those that work hard being integral to the company's success they might find retainment of staff better. Mvds is structured so that the lower staff are all paid a flat wage no matter how good of a worker you are. "Couch sitting" staff make as much as those whom do a top notch job with no economic mobility possible. MVDS will short staff homes to save money which is unfair to clients and dsp staff. Behavioral issues of clients tend to compound when short staffed. Behavioral technicians are lacking and often non responsive to staffs concerns and observations of clients. Very few attempts are made to bring both factions to the table so... a us vs them culture prevails. Staff that bring "hard to stomach" truths to HR's attention seem to be viewed and treated as if a danger to the business rather than assets to the company's health. Staff can expect "we will look into it" but to never be updated on their reporting. What do foot soldiers know anyway...mostly just just cannon fodder. HR seems more concerned with allocation of their time to lecturing staff about diversity in the work place and using pronouns than staff concerns. Supervisors use the staffs "goodwill" to fill in shifts rather than bonuses, wage increases or even acknowledgement. Remember, pawns are all the same no matter how "diverse " in work ethic they maybe.
