Lifelong friendships were made. Nice bonuses. Nice work trips. Some fun perks. To those looking into this company for employment opportunity: some people are "keepers". Good luck figuring out if that's you. :) Two stars for the fun.
Cons
Nepotism is rampant- unfortunate because it creates a bubble around the owner. I really liked the guy but in the end he only wanted to hear "yes" (toxic). The culture is promoted as fun- and SOME of it is! Be careful because it's deceptive. Loyalty is expected and not returned. The HR practices were horrendous. They didn't care about how many lives were disrupted by their hire- fire mentality. While I was there family (without education or experience) were rotated in/out the HR role ("yes" people rather than good business practice partners). Full disclosure: I was terminated following a years of good reviews and bonuses. We went through a merger where family came in and took away positions. In my last conversation I was told I wasn't a good culture fit. I'm glad it happened! I've stayed close to lots of past Moxie employees (not all, of course. There has to be 1000s) and we've all been happier, since. Keep an eye out for Sarah (sister of owner). When I worked there I was given instructions to write a nextdoor review. Keep that in mind when you read other reviews. That's actually a really crappy thing to do! Today I felt like circling back and writing about my real pro/con experience. Two stars for their lack of being invested in hourly workers, nepotism, poor HR practices, and c-ya attitude toward employees who invested in Moxie. Customers: .They are awful about canceling services upon request. The focus is on keeping your account active over any financialconcerns you may be experiencing... but hey! You might get flowers if you're sick or new donuts if the ants got into your stash.
