Pros

Generally fantastic people, and obviously a mission that's easy to love. Although the flagship browser product has low marketshare and dropping, it's still sizable enough to be exciting. Pocket is a great product. Still has decent brand recognition and a lot of trust in the outside world.

Cons

Executive leadership is absymal and has shown itself to play favorites, with a constantly changing chessboard and little to show for it. So much promise within the company, yet so little done despite the heroic work of so many employees and so many customers and contributors. Not a great place for female engineers or leaders. The Board of Directors should be expanded, and if they aren't asking hard questions, they sure need to start. If they have been asking hard questions, they need to demand accountability.

We are certainly happy to hear you are connecting with others here and are committed to our mission. We agree the people here are the biggest asset Mozilla has (brilliant and gifted, well as passionate). In addition to a number of growth initiatives we have for our flagship desktop browser, we’re also investing in growth for our mobile browser and other mobile products, as well as Pocket and our Hubs product, because as you say, we have the earned trust of our users and we want (and need) to deliver more to them. Undoubtedly this past year has been a tough one, and we needed to make changes to adapt to an evolving internet (and world); and this included changes to our strategy and our structure. This also includes adding two new board members; we expect more to be added shortly.

Pros

Great health insurance benefits. Literally you pay nothing per pay check. Also parental leave is 6 months which is rare in the US. Wellness days were nice too.

Cons

Lack of black people in and promoted to senior / management positions even though there are many qualified people to be there. Also management cannot make decisions. They are leaps and bounds behind the competition and many lack competence.
