Pros
Great benefits and good compensation for not a lot of work. You get to work from home have a lot of autonomy if you want it.
Cons
There is no coordination and no support. You can find out after months that another team was doing the same thing you were or that a team you depended on turns out to have been told that your project was low priority. Decision making is reactive and blame shifting.
