Pros
Fair pay, investments in new equipment. Apprenticeship program is run by someone who has great respect for people and has enthusiasm for teaching and being a mentor St. Elizabeth on sight Dr helps drive insurance cost down. Engineering Intern program is a good starting point for students coming in as a Industrial, Manufacturing Engineer. Mechanical Engineerings will not use their full potential. Multi cultural environment.
Cons
Managed terrible. Attempts yearly to start new programs but company does not follow thru on promises. ( PACE, Driven By the best, 5S,among others in the past) Management down to supervisor level looks at an employee as a number. No personal skills used to create a social environment. Most management has no formal education therefore only taught how to save monies at other expenses that are not noticed. Also when this happens they have a tendency to grow a large egotistical view which kills their ability to listen with open ears when employees are willing to communicate ideas. Have no clue about the idea you get what you pay for when purchasing day to day items. They have a large turnover in most business units and it is ever increasing as they move management from one unit to another to get results which is short term. Long term as employees catch on to there management practices to lie their way to get what they want. Supervisors don't play by their own rules. Forget about the Union and company wall and start treating employees as a Human. One of your current management use an analogy " Throw them a bone now and then..." Temporary job service is over used for cheap labor.
