Although our financial results have been very good in recent years, the amount we get paid for our services is declining. When revenues exceed expenses, the resulting “margin” is reinvested in new facilities, equipment, systems and staff. A portion of this positive margin is shared with employees through our “Gainsharing” program. The new hospital in Covington and the new inpatient psychiatric unit at Auburn Medical Center are two examples of how we are investing positive margins to address critical healthcare needs in our communities.
