10yI will first respond to your allegation of abusive Director. Abuse (verbal or otherwise) is grounds for disciplinary action, up to and including immediate termination. If you have not already contacted Employee Relations, we encourage you to do so right away. I also want to address your comments about MultiCare leaders. We recognize that it can be frustrating when you see gaps in a leader and don’t see anything behind done to address those gaps. However, we have already exited a number of ineffective leaders across our system and are working with others to improve their behaviors and/or results. The Employee Engagement survey is an important tool we use to evaluate manager effectiveness. Again, if you have concerns, we encourage you to contact Employee Relations. Finally, although employee turnover may feel high, at around 10% it is in line with other healthcare systems across the country. It is still higher than we would like, and we are working hard to address the underlying reasons that good employees leave, including manager effectiveness.
