Your comments imply that you believe quality patient care and fiscal responsibility are mutually exclusive. We take another view. We believe that good financial stewardship enables us to invest in the employees, facilities and equipment that enable excellent patient care. Some of those investments include our Tuition Reimbursement Program that helps employees pursue nursing degrees and a scholarship program that helps experienced RNs pursue careers as ARNPs. It is also worth noting that our RN-to-patient ratios are consistent with those of other health systems in our region and richer (i.e. more nurses to fewer patients) than many other regions of the country.
