8yAlthough you may not have realized it, MultiCare pays a great deal of attention to the results of our annual Employee Engagement Survey. In fact, the results impact the performance review ratings for our managers. Those ratings impact whether managers receive annual pay increases and whether they are eligible for a performance-based bonus. Every manager at MultiCare is required to have an action plan to address concerns that are shared in the engagement survey.
Regarding our benefits and retirement plan, we have made adjustments that are in line with changes being made across our industry. We continue to pay the majority of premium costs for our employees and to heavily subsidize family coverage. Like most employers, MultiCare has transitioned from a “defined benefit” pension plan to a “defined contribution” plan with an employer contribution and optional employee contribution.
