Pros
The providers go above and beyond for the patients and some are also super nice to the MAs. There’s always something to do and something to work on
Cons
The pay isn’t the best for how much you do. They have. A yearly raise of about 10 cents which isn’t helpful. The company they go through for leave is horrible to work with and can’t seem to understand how pregnant works. Upper management is ALWAYS rough. They get mad at you if they’re wrong and seem to favor the trouble employees and give ultimatums to the good hard working employees. In the neurosurgery department they have an MA who is obviously racist and also discriminates by race and age. When reported, no one did anything except give her another raise. Funny how that happened. If you complained about this MA you’d get told to choose between “fixing your attitude” or leaving. And it was more like “ quit or be fired. Choose one”. They have zero skill in communication. The neurology and physiatry departments are completely disorganized and under staffed mostly because of covid but also because the supervisor bit off more than she can chew there.
