Pros
-Nurse to patient ratios appear to be followed for inpatient units -Most managers appear to be flexible with schedules -Multicare is investing resources into this very outdated building and making upgrades
Cons
-Surgical services has been through 2 directors and 3 (going on 4) managers in the last 6 months. Significant upheaval in that department. -New surgical services director/manager team does not communicate well with staff, can be abrasive and harsh. No collaboration or expressed interest in shared governance and team decision making. -No open door policy with management to express concerns, most emails do not get followed up on or even responded to. -Absolutely no onboarding training or even clear expectations for education -The transition of multicare taking over has not been smooth- difficulty finding policies and procedures -Requests for assistance, guidance and education are met with hostility and disrespectful statements questioning your competence instead of a collaborative, helpful approach.
