Pros
Management is kind and responsive. It’s a 10 bed ER that is very well-staffed especially on day/mid shift. Very tight knit crew that supports one another. I’m not big into the social work scene but you really don’t have to there - coworkers are a great team. Very very good pay. I only left because we moved out of state.
Cons
Critically ill patients can be a challenge as you don’t have a respiratory therapist and you only really have four nurses at night. Sometimes it can be a little bit clicky, but for the most part, everyone’s really kind. Lots of education, death by education in many ways
