Good bedside staff, decent resources for patient care, state of the art facility which is easily the most beautiful in the region. Increasing acuity of patients makes for a rewarding work environment. Working toward Magnet status. EPIC charting system.
Cons
Upper management has a total disconnect with what happens at the bedside. The efforts of the organization are to maximize revenue when as a non profit organization the goal should be to maximize the health for those in the community. Compensation is the worst in the region for registered nurses. Problems with management defining what Magnet status means for the organization, there is more of an emphasis on budgeting and improvement by negative influence than there is on increasing the quality of the work environment. Current morale of nurses throughout the hospital is at an all time low.
