Pros

Hourly pay helps keep steady income. Base pay was $15.50/hr. They paid for my state licensing and fingerprints

Cons

We only get $100 of commission on sales which was broken into $25 a month. Loads of calls if you if you are a good salesperson, no time to breath. Felt overworked. Incoming calls are usually sent over from "third party transfers" which are companies that lie to the customers about benefits to get them interested and then transfer them to us. We have to end up telling them that they are not actually eligible and get fussed at because they wanted the "$900 grocery benefit the rep told them they can get". Was literally told by a supervisor that "its a bait and switch" but why lie to people? We waste our times going through a whole call and multiple plans just to have them upset because they weren't eligible for something that someone who knows nothing about insurance lied to them about in hopes the company makes a sale. Somehow they gather leads on people who never put in an inquiry for insurance so how did you really get their information? One time i called a lead and the lady told me the person i called for is her 7 year old granddaughter and hung up!! Idk how they get people's information that never inquired about insurance. Most calls go straight to voicemail for constant calls due to the autodialer so we get blocked. Once i left the company i was told that they were holding my license but I still got around it. Literally was mentally stressed from being overworked and when I asked to turned down my call volume it was either that or no calls.

Pros

LI really enjoy working here. My team is supportive, my coworkers are genuinely great people, and my manager is someone I appreciate most of the time. The culture is chill and the day-to-day is usually manageable. Overall, it’s a solid place to work if you like a good team environment and don’t mind picking up things through hands-on experience

Cons

Training could definitely be improved. it’s more of a ‘learn as you go type of job but once you get the hang of it, things make a lot more sense. Work-life balance can get tough during AEP, but that’s expected with the industry
