Pros
Pay is ok. Paid holidays. Parts are good quality. If you are allowed the time they have lots of online training. Benefits are competitive. Employee discounts not only in the store but with outside vendors.
Cons
It is definitely a good ole boys club. You are either in or out. Drivers are mostly out and treated like "the hired help." Vehicles for the most part are driven into the ground without proper maintenance. Take a look at the tires on the delivery vehicles as an example. Bet every store has some absolutely bald, showing metal tires on at least two vehicles per store. Management plays favorites. Watched them disregard any ideas of one the counter people and was one of the hardest working people in the store and posted good sales numbers. If she presented an idea or said something positive they would just respond "interesting" or "uh-huh" and walk away without even looking at her. Shifts are usually 10 maybe 12 hours. Some even have to work every weekend so the favorites can work Monday thru Friday and only 8 hours. Witnessed one employee work every day, open to close for a month because no one else would step up to the plate. Management knew about this but did nothing to help out. One of my teammates said it was because management was at home enjoying their days off. Several times I haven't gotten a lunch or even a short break the entire shift. On a long day that just sucks.
