Pros

Great variety of projects. Lots of challenging problems to solve. Meaningful and rewarding work.

Cons

Low pay, poor management, and upper management has no idea what the grunts are doing. HR is clueless about its personnel. Very slow advancement potential. Few avenues for advancement. Poor visibility into pay raises and career advancement. Upper management is stuck in the past and still seems to think that people should feel privileged to work there and gladly accept lower pay. They don't value the extreme talent they have working there, which is why so many are leaving.
