Pros

The mission of this company is exciting as they are involved in space exploration and earth atmospheric studies. Science on the cutting edge is underway on a daily basis. The culture is overall family-friendly and generally work is limited to a reasonable 40-hour work week, unless mission-prep is underway. Most of the employees have chosen the 9-80 work schedule giving them every other Friday off and employees love this option.

Cons

The matrix management structure is typical for companies of it's size, and can result in bad decisions that are difficult to fix. The experiences of employee can vary from positive in some areas to somewhat negative in other areas. A bad supervisor or manager is difficult to avoid and employees in that group are frustrated waiting for a long time before new management replaces that person.
