Pros
Was hired away from a local competitor and my thoughts and opinions were valued greatly. Management listens to what you think should be done in your market. I loved going to work every day, and always felt like I was actually making a difference to the company. They are growing and seem to be doing it in the right manner. Excellent salary with good benefits, including fair time off policies.
Cons
none jump out at me - naturally like any company there are differences of opinions, but nothing serious while I was there. Sure, there were times that we didn't see some credit (loan) opportunities the same way, but that's why senior management is senior! They get to make some of the final decisions and it was my job to make them see it the way I did. You win some, you lose some, but overall the local decisions prevailed, which is very unlike the bigger banks where almost all decisions are made top down. Bravo "Marty", for creating a great team - both in Vermont and Norwich, NY.
