Pros
Large variety of clients and interesting work. Fair amount of independence to get on with a particular project.
Cons
Different consultants can find different things - many are insecure so share little knowledge. Security Testing is mostly delivered using juniors and free software. It can feel like customers are overcharged. Company are more interested in billable time than the value of their people. Particularly the less senior you are. If you take your role seriously - Work life balance can be particularly challenging.
