Great technical staff with full potential not being realised.
Cons
An egotistical, combative, aggressive, overly technical senior management team hold the great talent back. Terrified of change, afraid of listening to the customer to guide operational decisions. A lack of openness in management leads to paranoia and all decisions made in corridors. Great people don’t get developed unless they are in the “in crowd” and those that aren’t get sweated for all they can give. A lack of empathy and emotional intelligence from middle management to the top which is sad and drove many good people to leave. Huge lack of women at all levels due to the complete inflexibility of work/life balance but more importantly the aggressive and combative culture. No one is held to account for their behaviour especially if they are in the “in crowd” or hitting a number (sales or operational). Teams are dysfunctional and don’t work well together, in fact they can compete with each other. There is no company culture, it’s run by individuals who look out for themselves because fear runs through the bedrock of the company. It always felt like big brother was watching every move. I don’t believe the company will ever change and is stifling itself. If asked I wouldn’t recommend even considering this company.
