Pros
Pays well, some managers really have a passion for people and software. Discount on shoes is awesome if you're a sneaker head.
Cons
They track metrics for code checkins and ticket completions. When looking for people to shed, they look first at age, then at code metrics, without any regard for work done or effort. After 6 years with a spotless record, was told at the end that I had no worth to the company, then received a call the next day from an outside recruiter looking to fill my spot, same experience level and technology, but as a junior dev.
