Pros
Best manager I've ever had Great coworkers Very few meetings (median was probably 0, busier weeks might have 5 hours of meetings total). Exceptional benefits (health/dental/vision, 5 weeks PTO + 2 weeks holidays, 401k, 401a, free public transit, and more). Very good job security, although it's somewhere between public sector and private sector.
Cons
Return to work policy post-COVID-19 is bad. Trying to make IT employees return to work, but also not enforcing it, which results in a ton of confusion and wasted a lot of my time/money. IT upper management is very bad. They often lie (e.g. return-to-work, raises) and the town halls just sap your energy for the day. Tech stack is mostly outdated (e.g. VB.NET + WinForms, ASP.NET, some visual studio 2005, Crystal Reports). No culture of cybersecurity Underpaid Only 1 year of raises in IT across ~15 years. IT should be unionized.
