Pros
Management usually could care less, so that's a plus. Nobody does their job so it's hard to hold us accountable with so much terrible work ethic. Once you are friends with a supervisor they will sign timecards to get paid extra, unless your a union offical then you can get paid from the company.
Cons
The paycheck is almost always wrong, the schedules suck for the employees, more than half of the coworkers don't do anything close to their job, the company will blame you for anything, mechanical is both lazy and bad at their job but they act like the railroad needs them to function, amtrak makes the job harder then it needs to be for what we need from them, the union will sell you out, you'll be overworked and underpaid for your "career". There's more, you can find out if you want to work here too.
