Pros
Benefits are still solid but have eroded over the last few years. Some departments seem to have employers that genuinely enjoy working here.
Cons
Personal lines is not a department that the majority enjoy working in. You can read past reviews and laugh at them because them seem petty but most of those complaints are true. Nepotism and promoting friends exists. Favorites and yes men get promoted. This department is a good place to work if you don't have a college degree because most of the management and supervisors also don't have degrees. If you have higher education you should move along. Management feels threatened by people with higher education and will suppress you. The lack of respect for employees is staggering. They have zero management or business experience. Promoting from within is the only way they can't protect their incompetence. And micromanagement is in another stratosphere. The worst part is we all wonder if they know how low morale is or if they just don't care. I'm not sure which is worse.
