Pros

- Relatively easy job for the pay. - very low reliance on metrics, call review or oversight. (Can also be a huge negative) - more focused on what you know and less on certifications/education

Cons

-Low performing employees not held to any standard and not responsible for fixing their own mistakes - Very little feedback areas for improvement - opportunities for advancement non-existent until significant time on Service Desk -inconsistent messages on expectations and repercussions for missed deadlines on certification and education - limited ability to expand knowledge base because of lack of trust from escalation teams (justifiable because of previous points)

Pros

Exceptional support from upper leadership with consistent effort to actually understand frontline workers. For a large hospital it feels like a small town where you really know people. Many rewards for taking care of patients.

Cons

Health insurance has its limitations but that seems to be the norm for hospitals nowadays.

Pros

The doctors are great. Management is retaliatory and unqualified.

Cons

Management and HR are a total joke. Pay is terrible. Do not respect employees, look for any reason to fire people. Care more about revenue than patient care. Care more about having a body than a qualified and dependable worker.
