Pros
Working in Audit gives you the flexibility of a 4 day/week, 10 hour/day schedule. Friendly environment, everyone is around the same age group on the staff level which makes it easy to relate to one another. Award winning office, good location (Westwood) Not too much micro-management, good exposure to niche market of entertainment and production accounting/audits. Opportunity to network and come in direct contact with professionals from entertainment studios (Disney, Fox, Warner Bros, etc....). Overall, decent pay for entry level accountants/recent college grads.
Cons
Too much nepotism and people promoted to job/titles that they do not deserve with people under them doing all the work. No management or partner involvement which trickles down and shows itself with lack of proper training, management, help. Noticeable politics involved, as well as favoritism. Not everyone receives the same treatment in terms of training and staff are often given projects without any guidance. Expectations are never clear which results in confusion. Though initial pay is on par with mid-tier market level salary, raises are very low. Also, the company does not perform financial statement audits which limits exit opportunities. CPA's are given "general" licenses (as opposed to attested ones)
