Pros

You will constantly be expanding your knowledge and skill sets, so long as you go out of your way to seek the training and instruction. The people are incredible, so long as you don't get caught up in gossip. The job itself has moments that throw you into a "wow, this is really more than just a job" state of mind.

Cons

The pay is below what I would consider to be competitive for the work that we do. Moving up in the company is frustrating depending on several factors, all of which have nothing to do with how qualified you are for the position. The aforementioned gossip can rival that of high school drama at moments, and is even indulged on by supervisors, sometimes initiated by supervisors. The most frustrating thing about working here is being told one thing, and another being true. Nothing has pushed me away more than being told "your training will start at the end of March" and for it to be 2 months later and haven't even started yet.

Pros

Great work/life balance. Management, supervisors & resources are always available if needed. Consistent and hard work is rewarded. Great people overall. Room for advancements in different parts of the lab, or opportunities to branch off into other departments.

Cons

Yearly bonuses are lackluster. Even with excellent reviews, you don't earn much more per year - which makes it difficult to maintain cost of living.

Pros

Hands on experience, good benefits, and strictly first shift

Cons

Annual salary is marginally lower than industry standards and bonuses, promotions, and raises are determined by job performance rather than education level and outside experience
