Pros

The company has excellent benefits, and the mission of serving employees of rural electric cooperatives is rewarding. NRECA is a non-profit organization that provides a good work place.

Cons

Insurance and Financial Services Department has average place-holder management. A few key contributors in Product, Information Technology, and Actuarial provide the management decisions. The company is rife with politics, Wokeism, and cronyism. If you are ambitious, you may not get promoted because of the politics and cronyism. It has become a cesspool of DEI, cronyism, and politics, but if you can handle this environment, the benefits and company mission and benefits can offset the negatives.
