Pros

There are good people here, who care about the community, care about the product & brand imaging they're putting out there. You can learn what you need to learn to advance somewhere else.

Cons

Management. I haven't dealt with corporate much, but the local management is subpar. I have seen them speak condescendingly & be duplicitous in several instances. They make it known that their focus is primarily on sales. Will only get new equipment if something is broken beyond repair or if they can sell it to someone who would want it. If you make a mistake, no matter how small, within 12 hours you will get an email about it. Management will not take your ideas seriously. For part timers, shifts get scheduled on preferential treatment. Pay is very low and not worth your time. The only way to get a raise is to move positions, which is very hard to do as they primarily hire from outside. It's also common for part timers to be worked as full time, but not allowed to work past a certain amount of hours so as to not have to give benefits or make them full time. Management also makes claims that going on-site gets you paid $40/hr. It does not. You get paid a flat rate for the two hours you are at an event, set-up, break down, and drive time.
