The work I was hired to under take was something I was well qualified to handle. I had no real supervision and was allowed to make, create what ever improvements were necessary. Medical benefits are available.
Cons
Even though I was very successful at solving logistical and organizational challenges, when my year of temporary service expired, I was not hired and was let go through a restructuring process. I was told another comparable position would be provided, however even after attempts to stay in contact with the recruiter and Human Resources and being told that I had “nothing to worry about “; no further employment or correspondence was presented. I had to find employment on my own. Also, even though I was working full time, as a temp I was not eligible for those hours to earn vacation and sick time. As a temp you are also ineligible to receive holiday pay. During weeks with a unworked holiday, your hours you work as overtime are paid as straight time as you won’t work over 40 hours
