Pros

The board finally got the CEO to "retire" after he destroyed the company's culture and lost the best minds in the organization to other employers through his "bean counting" mentality. He had absolutely no passion for or education in public health. His strength and training were in accounting.

Cons

The incoming CEO will need to work hard to build up the company and with a background in gas and for profit work - not non-profit public health - I sure hope he can learn the industry, for the sake of my friends who remain at NSF. I'm skeptical. The HRCO is still in place, and she was equally responsible for the disastrous "transformation" in 2021 and the resulting demotions in job titles (which she termed title harmonization...apparently it was only a conincidence that everyone's titles were simplified right before doing a salary survey). Until the new CEO or the board hires a replacement chief HR officer, morale within the company will remain low.

Pros

The most supportive place I've ever worked. From my coworkers to the management team, I am continously grateful for this positive, collaborative work environment.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say about working here. NSF is high on my list of blessings in my life.

Pros

Great team members. Solid mission to work towards.

Cons

Work life balance, they killed the culture and the senior leadership changes with the wind. Lack of communication across divisions. Strong preference for inclusion for onsite team; remote are left out frequently, intentionally.
