Pros

Launch contracts out a full development team (engineers, QA, scrum masters, designers, etc) to clients who need help building new applications, or upgrading and/or maintaining legacy applications. You stay a full time employee of Launch, and will be placed on the bench in between client work while still maintaining employment. Solid benefits,

Cons

I started out as a Nexient employee before NTT Data bought us and a few more companies to form Launch. Sadly, many of the better engineers left shortly after. The company has struggled to become profitible, and that shows in the lack of raises and promotions. There seems to be less of a focus on quality software and more focus on not loosing money. There is a significant disconnect in my opinion between a lot of the top level leaders in the company and the actual employees. Layoffs are determined by who is unlucky enough to be on the bench when they happen. You could be a better employee than many others who are on clients, but if you just got rolled off onto the bench then you're at risk of getting the axe.

Pros

The people I came in with at Nexient. Boy do I miss Nexient.

Cons

NTT Data uses and loses its employees. The threat of layoffs is constant and there are soft layoffs happening on the bench at all times due to unreasonably strict bench policies that push people out. There is a very low amount of work because the sales team does a terrible job finding it. And what little work they do have they're shipping overseas.
