The pros of working for NV5 all stem from the company I worked for that was acquired by NV5. I enjoyed where I worked and saw potential to/had the desire to there for my entire career. •Work/Life Balance •People •Backlog/Job Security
Cons
Once NV5 acquired the firm I worked for the following things happened: •Extensive stripping of benefits -Loss of holidays -No bonuses -No annual salary increases -No promotions -No 401(k) contributions -No maternity/paternity paid leave •No internal growth which led to stagnation. We assumed being bought by a large firm would provide more opportunity for growth either through expansion or a vacuum being created as the corporate structure was filled out. This wasn’t the case at all. Exactly the opposite.
