Pros
They are pretty flexible when it comes to your schedule. My office operates on a hybrid schedule. But work from home is allowed and even encouraged. Though they don't emphasize it, there is work/life balance . It is decently diverse, in terms of race, age, and backgrounds. The D&I Initiative is pretty new, but is a step in the right direction. The people in my office are great, they are the best thing that really make the experience of working at NV5 worthwhile.
Cons
Average pay and no promise or outlook for bonuses or increased pay no matter how well you perform. They incentivize you with stock bonuses that you can't even touch for 3 or so years. They are certainly in the business of acquiring companies, whereas the benefits become worse than what you had. They don't care too much about employee experience. It's way more about the results and keeping the clients happy (and no reward for doing that well). Overall, an average company, absolutely nothing special about it.
