Pros

Good work/life balance if you want it. Decent benefits and pay but could be stronger here. Other perks like flexible PTO, stock and profit sharing, and flexible work schedules help make up for it. Also, 100% fully remote so very little time spent traveling to work, which having spent too much time in traffic is a huge plus. If you like being a small part of a big company this is a good place for you; however if you prefer a small company feel this is definitely not it. Does allow motivated individuals to pursue projects, professional development, and travel.

Cons

The company is composed of several different business units. There’s not a ton of room for advancement, it’s more friendly to self starters. Don’t expect promotions to come easy or just because you “put the time in” over the years. Some of the flexibility gets taken advantage of by lower performing people. Then the company is slow to let them go since there’s a hundred HR hoops. Means higher performers have to pick up the slack. CEO incentivizes and pay any bonuses out in “restricted stock” rather than cash, which means you need to wait a few years before you can do anything with your bonus money. Not necessarily a bad thing (I use it as savings). Again the pay could be better, but I believe it’s commensurate with the industry. One downside to being fully remote is that it’s hard to develop a strong work culture in this format. It’s much better suited to folks who thrive working independently but can function well in a team remote setting. If you want to get beers with colleagues after work, this isn’t the place for you.

Pros

The office staff cares about employees, the staff is very caring about eachother, lots of after-work activities, good and honest work, managers are attentive to needs, and there are plenty of opportunities to move up the ladder.

Cons

Sometimes I'd rather be at work than at home.

Pros

Work from home freedom Boss is very communicative

Cons

They rely on ghost writing too much instead of having the inspectors write their own reports. They hire very very poor subcontractors to do inspections that give very bad info and take poor photos. No breaks from one report to the other. The report review also needs help... lots of errors in prior reports. Constantly overloaded fixing everyone's mistakes. Lazy coworkers. Lots of late late nights working.
