Pros

safe job steady pay established company my coworkers

Cons

My experience with NVR has been nothing short of disappointing and disheartening. If you're hoping for fair compensation that reflects your dedication and hard work, you'll be sorely let down. Despite promises of merit-based raises and opportunities for advancement, the reality falls far short of expectations. Raises are not only infrequent but also miserly, failing to keep pace with inflation, let alone adequately rewarding employees for their contributions. The company's approach to compensation seems not only outdated but also insulting. Employees are undervalued and underappreciated, with raises often amounting to mere pennies, if anything at all. This paltry increase in pay fails to acknowledge the rising cost of living or the increased responsibilities shouldered by employees over time. Moreover, the lack of transparency surrounding the criteria for raises fosters a sense of frustration and disillusionment among staff. Without clear guidelines or feedback, employees are left in the dark about what they need to do to earn a meaningful increase in compensation, leading to a sense of stagnation and resentment. It's evident that NVR prioritizes cost-cutting over employee satisfaction and retention. By neglecting to offer competitive raises, they risk losing talented individuals who seek fair compensation for their efforts. In conclusion, if you're seeking a company that values and rewards your hard work with fair and meaningful raises, I would recommend looking elsewhere. NVR falls short in this regard, and employees deserve better treatment and recognition for their contributions.

Pros

The Charleston Division is an incredible group of professionals. NVR/Ryan Homes might be a large home builder, but here, you will feel like you are part of a family. The training is the best I've ever experienced. You will be supported in every way, as long as you are communicative and transparent with management. In turn, you will be expected to show up, conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times, and work hard. Your training will prepare you for success, and you will need to use what you learned. It works! You get one weekend off each month, which I never had with other builders. Sadly, I had to leave due to a move, and a position was not open in my new area so I could transfer.

Pros

Good commission structure with early payouts, qualify hoe, solid benefits, and a professional sales environment. Training and system were well organized.

Cons

Lead volume was inconsistent and often too light to generate a sustainable income. Pricing and market positioning made it difficult to compete in my area, resulting in fewer opportunities than expected. Success depended heavily on market conditions and traffic.
