Pros
Pre-Merger Freescale seemed to have a CEO who was really engaged and seemed really vested in the best interests of the "employees" rather than just the "company". Post merger the CEO is very vague and high level in his inputs. You hardly ever hear from his immediate leadership team and the general direction of the company seems really confusing.
Cons
Post merger, it does not look like the company has a large vested interest in advancing manufacturing in house. Twice during town halls the CEO himself as spoken "proudly" how NXP has sent manufacturing to external sources and cut down on internal manufacturing. Not sure what that means when NXP has 5 of its own fabs (3 former FSL and 2 NXP). Lot of uncertainty revolving around in the company and lot of layoffs happening.
