Pros

Colleagues are friendly for the most part, very helpful. Great benefits, specifically the health benefits that are provided.

Cons

After three years in this department, I can honestly say it’s a sinking ship. The environment is unprofessional, toxic, and perpetually dysfunctional. Favoritism from management is rampant, decisions are made without transparency, and new employees are left to fend for themselves with inadequate training. The culture fosters inappropriate comments and behaviors that should never be tolerated in a workplace. Management, including team leaders, are completely hands-off—more interested in maintaining the status quo than fostering growth or accountability. This lack of leadership has created a stagnating, hostile environment that damages morale and productivity. The department is fundamentally broken, and it’s clear systemic change is needed from the top down. I left because I saw no future in a department that is fundamentally mismanaged and toxic. Until real accountability and professionalism are introduced, I doubt this department will ever fulfill its potential.

Great pay and benefits. Managers have been pleasant.

Cons

I don’t think it’s that bad of a con but to receive tuition reimbursement for nursing you were required to work full-time which was challenging.
