Pros

Pros: The only real pro of working at NYU Langone Health is the health benefits and access to corporate counseling which, ironically, you’ll likely need due to the overwhelming stress and dysfunction within the workplace.

Cons

The turnover rate is alarmingly high, and it’s not surprising once you experience the environment firsthand. Leadership operates on a single schedule, which means the other shift is left without any real guidance or accountability. If you’re not lucky enough to be on the “leadership shift,” you’re essentially on your own. Team leads often seem more focused on eating, scrolling through TikTok, or fixing their weave than actually leading or supporting their teams. Their lack of engagement not only affects productivity but also lowers team morale. There’s very little professionalism or structure, and staff are left scrambling with no clear direction. The toxic culture is also a serious problem. Some associates actively spread hate and create unnecessary division among colleagues. Management is either unaware or simply chooses not to address it, which only reinforces the negative environment. Most frustrating of all, no meaningful changes have ever been implemented despite repeated concerns being raised. Any mention of improvement is just lip service. The only time issues are acknowledged is after public criticism, especially through Glassdoor. And even then, the company’s responses appear to be AI-generated, offering the same generic, canned replies instead of genuine accountability or action.

Pros

Great pay and benefits. Managers have been pleasant.

Cons

I don’t think it’s that bad of a con but to receive tuition reimbursement for nursing you were required to work full-time which was challenging.
