Pros

- Great opportunity to secure a graduate degree at NYU while an employee - High budgets, no layoffs - You get to live in NYC - Great benefits - Good work life balance - Lots of Additional fringe benefits (food, events, ticket discounts, etc.)

Cons

- They hire overqualified peoples for jobs at hand which are mostly answer phone calls from a hotline and just being over managed with little to no real quantifiable work assignments. Sending emails occasionally. - Administrative bloat at the top leadership that randomly wants to get involved only when it suites their individual/personal interests. - Toxic work environment and psychologically unsafe; never able to voice your true ideas in meetings. They preach openness and inclusion but it was quite the opposite. There was constant and deliberate inappropriate interactions/statements/talk from certain employees that was never addressed by leadership. - Pretty technologically backwards and slow to adopt things that will increase efficiency. They seem to like to remain antiquated and wasteful - They promote and allow the throwing of others under the bus, and most are only concerned with managing up and not supporting those underneath. It is not a collaborative environment. There are many good people but they are all fearful of speaking up and have just learned to keep their head down which unfortunately perpetuates the toxic environment. - Overall sense of fear and intimidation tactics are used and nepotism - Low raises

Pros

Good benefits, friendly office, easy work, good pay. Worked FT in the summer.

Cons

Grad Assistant / advisors were required to do drop-in advising hours. Which is fine except we didn't have access to a lot, so we couldn't help students half the time. Because of the union you could only work 20 hours / week. Which honestly sucked because the work was easy and I would've loved to pick up a few more hours.
