Pros

Beautiful office, Mostly wonderful people, Great vision/mission, Fairly flexible schedules, Ability to work remote, Wide array of services offered, Respected in community, Large geographical reach, Holiday celebrations/employee events, Free parking, convenient location, Tuition assistance, Employee assistance program & fund, Effective CEO No matter the cons listed below I still loved this job. No job is perfect. There is so much good there it does generally outweigh the bad. I’d go back if given the opportunity. They do important work. I sincerely hope they survive & bounce back from their recent unfortunate events (which truly was no fault of their own).

Cons

Top heavy, Bulk of HR managers difficult/don’t care, Some terrible management throughout, Cliquey, Policies/procedures unevenly enforced, Inadequate parking, Lots of family relations throughout the company (especially management), very expensive benefits unless you want their “free” high deductible with horrible/expensive coverage for basic things/generally healthy people Biggest con — they handled their recent layoffs terribly, treated employees they were letting go (for a situation that was ZERO fault of those employees) like criminals. I understand it’s a tough situation for the company and I doubt there’s an great way to do it, but how they did it was horrible & humiliated wonderful people.

Pros

Good work/life balance and opportunity to plan your own schedule.

Cons

Leadership offered no opportunities for advancement or mentorship programs for high potential candidates. Annual reviews “appeared” to be fair and controlled by HR with processes, however, were in fact very subjective by their leadership team whom engaged in falsifying performance reviews to negate top performers yet reward non-performers with raving performance reviews. Top leadership provided no support, did not set clear expectations, did not listen to employees and actually engaged in publicly demeaning their direct reports which directly caused poor morale amongst entire team.
