Pros

I've been at Natera for about a year now and am glad I joined. I was hoping the role I signed up for would expand and that I'd get to see more aspects of the company and I probably got more exposure than I bargained for! If you sign up for something, you definitely get the chance to prove yourself. Love that I get to solve interesting problems with super smart people. Also love all the food - they changed to healthy options a couple months ago - but I do miss the salty stuff.

Cons

Be careful about getting put on the spot - managers can be impatient and expect you to have answers. Worried they are expanding too quickly - my boss is interviewing people every day. There's almost zero desk space, where are these people going to fit?

We've expanded! Part of our operations have found a new home in Redwood City, as well as expanding our footprint in San Carlos. We are currently planning to accommodate for future growth, in addition to making space all of our lab operations. It may be dense, but our work force has been incredibly flexible and agile. We love our Naterans!

Pros

Benefits, pay, and catered lunch orders every shift. Company currently growing and seeking to expand its operations. Will learn plenty in lab with the training--opened my eyes to how biotech industry can work with this being my first professional role.

Cons

Fast-paced environment with less consideration for slower coworkers, coworkers that felt cliquey, and management that seemed distant and unapproachable. Getting along with coworkers was the toughest part for me. Some coworkers seemed unapproachable. Had trouble feeling a sense of belonging on the team with seemingly constant critique about my performance with very little mentioning of people seeing improvement.
