Pros

The mission and inspiring vision of the company's CEO/Founder. Very cool and impactful technology. Strong products - seems to be a premium brand with customers for a reason.

Cons

Highly political and at times hostile culture makes it a pretty unhappy place to work. People seem more aligned to egos and one upping each other than doing impactful work for the business. At times it seems folks are concerned with winning against each other than the competition and losing focus of the real business goals. Disempowering. Management team is still used to running the show as a startup and have not learned to empower people or harness the skills they've been hired for. Roles and responsibilities are not defined clearly, resulting in unnecessary redundancies, confusion, and bickering - contributing to lower morale.

Pros

Benefits, pay, and catered lunch orders every shift. Company currently growing and seeking to expand its operations. Will learn plenty in lab with the training--opened my eyes to how biotech industry can work with this being my first professional role.

Cons

Fast-paced environment with less consideration for slower coworkers, coworkers that felt cliquey, and management that seemed distant and unapproachable. Getting along with coworkers was the toughest part for me. Some coworkers seemed unapproachable. Had trouble feeling a sense of belonging on the team with seemingly constant critique about my performance with very little mentioning of people seeing improvement.
